On Saturday, June 4, 2016, we streamed our performance of Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem, with Ming Luke conducting the orchestra and chorus; Eric Choate conducted the chamber orchestra and soloists, and Anne Hegge conducted the San Francisco Girls Chorus. The pre-concert talk was given by Marika Kuzma (you can also listen to the audio from her presentation.)
We are editing together high quality, multi-camera footage of the performance, and hope to have it available soon on StoryChorus. This livestream was run by tenor Kristin Vorhies (thank you Kristin!) with her iPhone; given the limitations of our internet access the data rate was relatively low, so picture quality was limited. However, the music soars. Enjoy hearing again our June 4 performance of the War Requiem, which won San Francisco Classical Voice’s award for Best Choral Performance of 2016.
