All-day rehearsals have been a BCCO tradition that lets us delve into aspects of the music and of singing that we often don’t have time for during the regular Monday night rehearsals and give us a chance to learn from other conductors and musicians.
On Saturday (November 14) we were joined in the morning by soprano Shauna Fallihee for an amazing workshop on singing technique. And in the afternoon, Joe Liebling worked us hard! But we left having a much better grasp of the sections of Brahms German Requiem we’ll sing in January — not just notes, but the musicality of the piece as well. And of course, there was the food—BCCO puts on potlucks like no other.
